If you’ve noticed Firefox is loading and starting slower than it usually does, you might want to try this simple fix …

The Firefox web browser is loading all web pages pretty fast on my system, not slower than Google Chrome for example, and also starting up just fine and in a matter of a second or so. While I have nothing to complain about, other users may not be that lucky. Some are reporting that Firefox takes a long time to load even though that should not really happen, especially since page loads just fine and fast in other web browsers.

PC gamers know that they need to update their graphics card drivers frequently to improve performance, compatibility and stability. Not everyone is a gamer though and there are users who have never updated the graphics driver and other system drivers in their life. These users specifically may experience issues with Google Chrome’s hardware acceleration feature.


Firefox 4 – The State of Development

Here’s a quick update on the status of the upcoming Firefox 4 release …

When is Mozilla going to release the next beta of Firefox? When the release candidate and final build of the web browser? News is scarce at this point in time and I will try my best to give you an overview of things to come. The latest public beta version of Firefox 4 is beta 11 which has been available for some time. We knew that the team planned to release at least one additional beta to fix blockers that prevented the release candidate and final release. What we did not know was if that would be the last beta, or if another beta release would follow suite.
