Microsoft is preparing to launch the final version of Internet Explorer 9 today at 9PM Pacific Time. This guide gives you all the information that you need to be prepared for the launch.

Internet Explorer 9 will be released for 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows Vista SP2, Windows 7 and the server products Windows Server 2008 SP2 and Windows Server 2008 R2. The minimum system requirements are 512 Megabytes of RAM, a computer with a 1 Gigahertz processor and 70 to 200 Megabytes of hard drive space depending on the version used.

How to Change the File Download Location in Internet Explorer 9

Here’s a simple-yet-useful trick …

Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 9 saves files automatically to the Users\username\Downloads folder which is usually stored on the partition that Windows is installed on. Some users may want to move the download location to another hard drive or partition. Users with Solid State Drives for instance, or users with little space left on the Windows drive, may want to consider moving the file download folder to avoid space issues on the drive.
