Here’s an interesting tool for those of us who are concerned about privacy …

Every time you connect to a server on the Internet, you automatically submit information to the server that may be used to for a variety of purposes. From creating a unique identifier and other tracking related activities, to malicious uses. The majority of websites are ignoring most of the information that are submitted automatically when the connection is established, others may use technical information like the screen resolution or web browser used to optimize contents for each connecting user.


Beware: Facebook Messenger Reveals Locations, Introduces Read Confirmations

I wonder why Facebook almost never offers the option to disable functions like this, just for the sake of those who are concerned about privacy?

Facebook is currently rolling out an update for its Facebook Messenger apps for iOS and Android, that is bringing new features to the clients that will surely cause some controversy. One of the new features are read confirmations, that Facebook users see right underneath messages that have have sent out to friends or groups.
