Is this a personal computer, or is it a fashion accessory?

Apple last year had problems making its black iPhone 4 white, and now it appears the company has also had issues making it’s lovely silver Macbook Air black.

It’s been rumoured for a while now that the company was prepping a black sleek Air to add to its line up in the next few weeks. This is when the next generation Air is due to be released, complete with a new SandyBridge Intel chipset which increases performance while lowering power consumption.


Macs Give Me a Syncing Feeling

They make you feel good, Apple products – until you try to do something they don’t want you to do.

In 2007, I wrote a column entitled “I hate Macs”. I call it a column. It was actually an unbroken 900-word anti-Apple screed. Macs, I claimed, were “glorified Fisher-Price activity centres for adults; computers for scaredy-cats too nervous to learn how proper computers work.”

This is definitely another step in the right direction; lower prices always attract more users.

No longer just a rumor or speculation, the newest version of the Macbook hit the Apple Store yesterday. According to Engadget, the laptop boasts a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo processor, an NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics card and, best of all, a 10-hour battery life — a full three hours longer than those of older MacBook incarnations. And that’s not to mention that this bad boy is priced at $999, making it a couple hundred dollars cheaper than the slightly more powerful 13-inch Macbook Pro.
