Mozilla F1 Social Add-On Updated – Drops Firefox 3.6 Support

Given the popularity of Facebook and Twitter, this makes a heck of a lot of sense …

Mozilla F1 is one of the few official add-ons by the Mozilla Messaging team. The extension basically offers quick access to share links and websites faster. Mozilla Messaging recently updated F1 and the thing that sticks out in the new version is that support for the Firefox 3.6 browser has been dropped. Not because the developers want to push Firefox 4 but because it has been designed to make use of user interface elements that are not supported in Firefox 3.


Enable Mouse Zoom in Thunderbird

This looks like a helpful tip for those who have trouble reading small type …

Users of the Thunderbird email client can zoom the text of email messages by holding down Ctrl and tapping on + to increase the font size or – to reduce it. The zooming options are furthermore available under the View > Zoom menu in the menubar of the email client.

Here’s another update for the Thunderbird email client …

Mozilla Messaging is currently distributing an update to the popular desktop email client Thunderbird. The new version of the email program has not been officially announced yet, this will be done once the distribution to mirror servers worldwide has been completed.


Thunderbird 3.1.6 Security Update Released

Yet another Firefox-related story … I’m impressed by how quickly they’ve taken care of this …

The security vulnerability that was discovered two days ago was fixed in the Firefox web browser yesterday with an emergency out of band update. The same vulnerability affects the Thunderbird email client as well, which is why the developer’s have rushed an update for the email software.


Email Client Thunderbird 3.1.5. Released

This is probably well worth the download; it sounds like this new version fixes a whole lot of bugs …

The email client Thunderbird will receive an update later today that raises the version of the application to 3.1.5. The new version is currently distributed to worldwide mirror services to prepare for the rush when the official release announcement is publicized.

Thunderbird users can check for the new version in the email client, by clicking on Help in the menu and then Check for Updates. Currently though no updates are found.
