Yandex Browser Based on Chromium Launches

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2012

Just in case anyone doesn’t have enough browser options already … here’s another one.

Yandex has just released version 1.0 of its web browser. The 28 Megabyte download is based on Chromium, and thus not the first spin-off that we have seen appear on the scene. Downloads are already available on the main Opera homepage, and Opera 11 stable users should see update notifications soon. A check with the beta version of Opera 11.10 did not find the update yet, and it is not clear if beta users will see update notifications or if they need to install the Internet browser manually.
