Bing Updates Facebook Photo Search

The “respect for privacy” claim is certainly reassuring … but it still might not be a bad idea to review your current Facebook privacy settings …

Last year Microsoft’s search engine Bing rolled out its “Friends Photos”, but today the company announced a huge update to the service, which allows users to search photos on Facebook. Before you press the panic button, the company assures us that “Bing respects your Facebook privacy settings. Your Facebook friends will only be able to see the photos you have made viewable and your photos will never be shared with the public”

This seems like it would definitely prove itself useful … especially if you don’t have a copy of Photoshop handy.

Photos these days can are often in the Megabyte range which makes it difficulty to transfer them via email or other means. Email is special as it has a it is usually limited in the amount of Megabytes you can send per email. The limit is usually in the 15 to 25 Megabyte range, with companies like Microsoft working their way around the limit by hosting the attachments in the cloud and replacing the attachments with links to the cloud hosted files instead.


Upload Pictures to Facebook with a Simple Right Click

This is kind of an interesting trick, but it also seems like a lot of unnecessary trouble; uploading pictures to Facebook isn’t really all that difficult to begin with.

Are you a Facebook junkie? Do you find yourself constantly posting status updates? And…more important…do you constantly ¬†upload photos of yourself, your friends, your animals, and your computers to your facebook account? If the latter is the case, do you find the standard method of uploading photos to facebook cumbersome? Don’t you wish there was an easier method? Well, there is. From within the Nautilus file manager you can right-click a file and select it for uploading to Facebook.
