Cartoon Camera for Android

This looks like one of those features that will be really fun at first, but will then quickly become really annoying as it’s overused by everybody under the sun …

I have recently started to look at various camera apps for Android, from the popular to solutions that are less popular but still pretty good in terms of functionality. Cartoon Camera is an app for Android 2.2 and up that is adding various real time filters to the camera while you are using it. This is different from which applies the filters after a picture has been taken.


Apple’s Retina Display is Perfect – Stop Trying to Beat it!

I’m not a big Apple fan either, but the author makes an interesting point here …

I’m not known for applauding Apple so I’ll give you a moment to pick yourself off the floor before I get into the thrust of this article.  I genuinely believe though that while Apple’s claim for their Retina display on the iPhone 4 that ”the pixel density is so high that the human eye is unable to distinguish individual pixels” is a tad exaggerated, it’s still a remarkable achievement and one that other technology companies need to stop trying to beat.  Let me explain why.
