Fixing Tiny Text in Windows

This is a rather obvious fix for a pretty common problem, but it’s worth sharing, just the same.

If you are running your Windows computer on a high resolution display, for instance one of those brand new 4K displays, you may have noticed that some text does not scale well. While most programs and apps should work well on high resolution displays, others display text so small that you can barely read anything without binoculars. Basically, these issues may occur on any device that is connected to displays with a resolution greater than Full HD (1080p).

Project Naptha Makes Text on Images Selectable in Chrome

This sounds like an interesting and useful development … although the accuracy of OCR programs has never really been all that impressive.

While you can select any text on any website using the mouse or other input methods, you cannot really do that if the text is displayed as an image. That’s a problem if you want to copy it, run a search using it, translate it, or use it as a quote in an article that you are writing. I have always helped myself up until now by copying the text manually which certainly is not the best option in this regard.
