How to Run Microsoft Edge on Windows 7

You definitely can’t install Edge on a Windows 7 machine, but you can still run it using virtual machines.

Can you install Microsoft Edge on Windows 7, another Windows operating system, or even on non-Windows operating systems? The short answer to that question is no, you cannot. But you do have options when it comes to running Microsoft Edge on devices that are not running Windows 10. Microsoft itself notes that Microsoft Edge is only available on Windows 10. Edge is the default system browser on Windows 10 devices. It replaced Internet Explorer (which is also still available), and can best be described as a fast but basic web browser.

Convert Windows XP to a Virtual Machine with VirtualXP

Here’s a helpful trick for you XP die-hards who absolutely, positively refuse to update to Windows 8.

Microsoft abandoned Windows XP some months ago and while some users moved on to other operating systems, others are still running windows XP. The main issue here is that Microsoft won’t release official security patches for the operating system anymore which leaves it vulnerable to exploits discovered after end of support.

Generally speaking, if it is a web-based tool that starts with “php” (such as phpMyAdmin or phpLDAPadmin) you know that tool is going to make your administrative life a lot easier. Such is the case with a php-based tool created to help you manage all of your VirutalBox VMs from a single tool, from anywhere (so long as said “anywhere” is accessible from, you guessed it, anywhere).
